My graduation..is it over??

A student’s life reaches a stage of saturation when he or she attains graduation. It’s the period of life when you go through a cardioscope of emotions. It might be of achievement, of fanfare and funfare whatever. It could also be one of responsibility, of maturity, of focus. It’s the time when i make consequent, life-changing decisions, the plans of which were laid and piled up some time back. I had charted out the course of my life, now the time has come to step out of the cocoon and take stock in a whole new way.

I may have been doing odd jobs here and there to support my education or to support a pocket that has no stitches on the down-side, but now i have to carve out a living for myself.

It is when i thank myself for having hung on to my books with dear life, through times when i thought i had had enough! Every student goes through a phase in his or her academic life when the "I am wasting my time" thought pops up in the mind, like forbidden temptation. If you can get over the hurdle where our first ancestors faltered, you do more help to yourself in a moment than you could have in a whole life of ridiculous ranting.

It is a day when i feel like thanking the most of teachers. It’s a day when i have a magnanimous heart and feel i can forgive the little wrongs my teachers have done yet since my childhood! It’s a day when i can forgive all those injustices of the education system that made ,me a junk to keep the wheel moving. It’s a day when i think you can stand up to all those college drop-outs and face their anti-college slogans with equal zeal. It;s the moment when i stand up to my mom, to show her that she gave birth to a champion.

this day is not my achievement alone. What about my friend who attended lectures and kept notes while i was busy pursuing what i thought was fruitful exploits? What about the nerd in the class whom i irritated to no end just to get some practical help? Surely they deserve a big Thank You too.

hmm at last l , i am ready for coming to this milestone in life. Indulge my ego and selfrespect thinking of this achievement with ability, but do not let it go to my head. A lot is there waiting to be explored and known. I have just made the beginning on a positive note; now the time is ripe to build up on that. I have to go far and justify to the world and more importantly to myself, that this achievement is no flash in the pan.

National Integrity and Terrorism..

WHEN INDIA became a free independent country many predicted its disintegration.. There are people in this country who hold an exclusive view of religion which drives them into a sectarian frenzy that does not admit of tolerance of other faiths. Despite a shared culture of so many years, linguistic diversities have often generated tensions and conflicts amongst different communities threatening the fabric of national unity. The same holds good for regionalism exacerbated no doubt by inequitable development amongst different regions of the country. The age – old caste system has also contributed in no small measure to weaken the bond of unity among different sections of the society. All the above forces and factors do pose a serious challenge to India’s unity and integrity and, therefore, conscious efforts will have to be made by all concerned to preserve the same.
The youth of the country in particular will have to be put in the vanguard of such efforts...
Raj has threatened not to allow officials and people's representative from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to enter Mumbai if the committee summons Thackeray in a breach of privilege case.In case of terrorists we know our enemy and aim at defeating him. But how does one deal with these petty politicians who in the garb of nationalism are doing anti national activities. It will not be wrong if say their acts too breed home grown terrorists, allow the enemies of the nation to radicalize the young and the impressionable minds and become the cause of contention between different communities and hence the danger to the very idea of India, an India whose strength lies in secularism and diversity.
